Forestal Río Indio, a company affiliated to Grupo CUSA, is created in consideration to the environmental impact the construction industry has. It is located at La Mesa de San Martín, Panama district, Panama province.
It comprises 120 reforested hectares of teak, acacia, melina and native species. The plantation was established in 2000 and we are currently continuously working on it’s maintenance in accordance with the Forest Management Plan which includes: cleanings, weed control, fertilization, pest and disease control, plateaus, re-planting, dewatering and pruning in order to improve the development of the plantation as well as cutting of trees for their use.
